Overview
We process personal data only to the extent necessary to operate this website, to handle your enquiries or – with your consent – for statistical analysis. Data is not passed on to third parties for purposes other than those stated here. We do not use advertising or marketing trackers.
Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., 101 2nd Street, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA. When you access the website, Netlify automatically processes technically necessary data in server log files: IP address, date and time of access, page accessed, browser type and version, operating system and referring page.
This processing is necessary to deliver the website securely and reliably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in secure and error-free operation). A data processing agreement is in place with Netlify. Transfers to the USA are based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Cookies and local storage
Without your consent we do not set any cookies for analytics or advertising purposes. As technically necessary, we only store your choice in the cookie notice in your browser's local storage so that the notice does not reappear on every page (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Google Analytics cookies are only set after you have expressly consented in the cookie notice (Section 25(1) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). – you can withdraw your consent there at any time with effect for the future.
Google Analytics (with consent only)
If you have given your consent, we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies to analyse the use of our website statistically (e.g. pages viewed, time spent, approximate region, device type), helping us to improve our website.
Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Google signals and the use of data for personalised advertising are disabled. It cannot be ruled out that data is transferred to servers of Google LLC in the USA; Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. A data processing agreement is in place with Google.
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG). Analytics data is deleted after the retention period set in Google Analytics (no more than 14 months). You can withdraw your consent at any time via the ; the analytics cookies will then be deleted. More information: Google Privacy Policy.
Contact form
If you contact us via the enquiry form, we process the data you provide (name, email address and, optionally, company, phone, project location, timeframe, project type and description) to handle your enquiry. Form data is transmitted via the form service of our host Netlify (see above) and stored there until we retrieve it.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries). We delete the data once the enquiry has been fully dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
Contact by email and job applications
If you contact us by email or apply for a position, we process your information to handle the enquiry or to carry out the application process (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, Section 26 BDSG). We delete application documents no later than six months after the process has been completed, unless an employment relationship is established or you have agreed to longer storage.
Google Maps (on click only)
On the contact page you can display a map from Google Maps (Google Ireland Limited). The map is only loaded when you click “Load map”; no data is transferred to Google beforehand. By clicking, you consent to Google processing in particular your IP address and possibly transferring data to the USA (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Fonts, videos and images
Fonts, videos and images are delivered directly from our server. No connection is made to servers of Google or other third parties.
Storage period
We store personal data only for as long as necessary for the respective purpose or as required by statutory retention periods. The data is then deleted or blocked.
Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21 GDPR). You can withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future. Please contact info@basic-gs.de.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia (www.ldi.nrw.de).

For security reasons, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” in your browser's address bar.
